While we've seen Android phone suppliers, especially those like Oppo and OnePlus, experimenting with pop-up cameras to produce phones with no screen cutouts, China's Nubia is unusually reaching the challenge. Instead of a selfie pop-up camera, the company's latest model, the Z20, eliminates any unsightly notches by adding a 5.1-inch secondary screen on the device's back. In this way, you can use the Z20's main camera to grab a picture if you want to take a selfie.

In addition to working as a viewfinder, the main screen of the Z20 may double as an always-on camera, showing you your updates on the phone's rear. Nubia says you can use it as your main screen in a hurry if you want to save battery life. Likewise, by putting two separate apps on each screen, it is possible to use the device for multi-tasking— while continuously turning the phone seems to get boring easily. Perhaps worth mentioning is that the secondary screen of the Z20 is both less vivid and not as thick as its primary equivalent, so it's hard to say if you're actually going to want to use it much.

Else, you're getting the Z20 from a 2019 high-end Android phone. It uses the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chip from Qualcomm, which this year has only made its way to a few phones, such as the OnePlus 7 T and ASUS ROG Phone 2. It also features RAM 8 GB and internal storage 128 GB. Powering the phone is a battery of 4,000mAh. Nubia says you can load the battery in less than 100 minutes with a 27W power adapter. As for the main display, the display measures 6.42 inches and has a resolution of 2,340x 1,080.

The Z20 comes with a main 48-megapixel sensor with an aperture lens f/1.7 for image design. It also features a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 3-fold optical zoom8-megapixel telephoto lens. The system can record 8 K footage in addition to the usual video capabilities— though only at 15 frames per second, which ensures you're definitely not going to end up using it a bit as nobody wants to watch a slideshow pretending as a clip. Although you can not order it through a US retailer, the Z20 can be ordered for $529 directly from the Nubia website.
