Last year, Google created waves by introducing Duplex, its assistant-powered device that could position phone calls for reservations.

Before rolling out to most U.S. states, the futuristic characteristic started as a tiny experiment, and the firm announced at Google IO previously this year that it would also expand Duplex to provide web-based AI help. Now, that extension has started testing, and can attempt using Duplex to assist book film tickets to pick Chrome customers in the U.S.

The Google Assistant logo "Buy Tickets" key shows that Duplex is accessible. If you click it, you will be taken to the website of the movie theater but with an overlay that will automatically fill in your saved information such as contact details and payment details.
